鄭老師對弓有很強的鑑定能力，他也很大方地讓我試拉他的私人收藏。這些名弓各有特色，我在試拉的每一把弓之後，都有一些心得，每一把的拉法都略有不同。挑到最後，我在兩把弓之間猶豫，不知道該選哪一把，這時經過和鄭老師討論，我決定成為法國Voirin名弓的新主人。鄭老師告訴我：「我保證，你一定會越拉越喜歡這把Voirin弓。」的確，我每次練琴都能感受到那種對於音樂的喜樂，也讓我在考試、音樂會中能安心、自在地演奏。這樣的弓就是我心中最理想的目標，我很謝謝鄭老師熱心的幫助讓我擁有這把弓，他對樂器的專業知識完全能夠令人信服。

Last fall I came to Cincinnati to work as a sub with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Having not known many people in town, I was especially grateful to meet Chiun-Teng, who was so friendly and welcoming. His wife’s wonderful Taiwanese cooking made me feel right at home!  I felt even luckier when I learn that Chiun-Teng has an extensive knowledge about instruments and bows. Just conversations with him taught me so much, and I was thrilled when he agreed to help me look for a bow, because I had not been satisfied with mine for auditions.

 

 

Chiun-Teng was very patient and insightful during the bow-hunting process. I was very fortunate to be able to try out his wonderful collection! I learned much from playing each of them and when I couldn’t decide between the last two bows, Chiun-Teng guided me on the right path. Soon I was the happy owner of my new Voirin bow. “You will love this bow even more with time”, Chiun-Teng said, and he could not have been more right. My enjoyment of playing the Voirin has only grown, and it gives me a sense of security and freedom during concerts / auditions.  It was exactly what I was looking for and I have Chiun-Teng to thank for bringing us together! His professionalism and expertise truly speaks for itself.
